Yay! Latinos are taking over!
This is so cool!
Univision's Soy Tu Dueña was the number one show this past week, bringing in 5.8 million viewers in the key demographic, 18-49. The show beat out other top hit shows like CBS' NCIS: L.A., ABC's No Ordinary Family, and an NBC SNL special.
And this isn't the first time Soy Tu Deuña brought in the big ratings! Back in June, the show topped the key demo for the first time and has hit the spot many times since then.
Univision Networks president Cesar Conde says:
"Univision is committed to becoming the No. 1 television network in the United States among Adults 18-49, regardless of language, within the next five years and our ability to deliver top quality programming like Soy Tu Dueña allows us to further advance on this goal."
Felicidades!

Alex Meraz, Corey Monteith Trevor Donovan Hang With Some Kids At The Pumpkin Patch
Great news Battlestar Galactica fans, Deadline is reporting that SyFy has ordered a 2-hour pilot for a proposed new prequel spin-off series of the franchise. As you may know, Caprica (the current BG prequel spin-off) is still in its first season (with the hope of a season 2 pickup soon) so the folks at SyFy think it’s a great time to introduce another spin-off series that is set in the 10th year of the Cylon War and is focused around the young Academy graduate William Adama (who is just a kid in Caprica and is the seasoned admiral in Battlestar Galactica). Here are the deets about this new spin-off series:
SyFy is going back to the Battlestar Galactica well. After launching prequel Caprica, which is now airing the second part of its first season while awaiting word on a second-season pickup, the cable network has greenlighted a two-hour pilot for Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome or BGBC how it will probably be known in the Battlestar fan universe. The pilot, about the young years of Ensign William Adama, hails from Battlestar Galactica executive producer David Eick and Universal Cable Prods. and will involve CGI and virtual technology.
I am a huge fan of Battlestar Galactica and was very sad when the series had to end … but, to be honest, I never really got into Caprica. I watched the series pilot movie but it just didn’t win me over and I decided not to watch the series. That being said, I’m very interested in this new proposed spin-off that focuses on the young William Adama. JJ Abrams found great success with his prequel version of Star Trek which focuses on the young crew of the USS Enterprise … I really think that SyFy can enjoy that kind of success with Battlestar. After the jump, read the official announcement from SyFy about Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome …
Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome takes place in the 10th year of the first Cylon war. As the battle between humans and their creation, a sentient robotic race, rages across the 12 colonial worlds, a brash rookie viper pilot enters the fray. Ensign William Adama, barely in his 20’s and a recent Academy graduate, finds himself assigned to the newest battlestar in the Colonial fleet… the Galactica. The talented but hot-headed risk-taker soon finds himself leading a dangerous top secret mission that, if successful, will turn the tide of the decade long war in favor of the desperate fleet. “The ‘Galactica’ universe as re-imagined by Ron Moore and David Eick is rich with possibilities and backstory,” said SyFy’s Mark Stern. “We jumped at the chance to revisit the William Adama character and explore this exciting chapter in the BSG narrative which falls between the events of the original series and the prequel, ‘Caprica,’ currently airing on Syfy.” “While maintaining the themes of politics, social propaganda, and the timeless question: what does it mean to be human? – ‘Blood & Chrome’ will also return us to the authentic, relentless depiction of combat and the agony and ecstasy of human-Cylon war, which was the hallmark of ‘Battlestar Galactica’s’ early seasons,” said Eick. Michael Taylor wrote the teleplay from a story by Eick, Taylor and Bradley Thompson & David Weddle.
In the end, it all comes down to the writing … Battlestar was such a great show because the writing was so fantastic. I have been hearing great things about Caprica (particularly the fantastic writing) so I may have to give that show a second chance. I am really excited about Blood & Chrome tho … I’m in desperate need of a new sci-fi series to fall in love with. Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome sounds perfect. Any Battlestar fans out there … does this sound like a great idea for a new series to you?

Co-stars Lea Michele and Cory Monteith were spotted yesterday on the Pasadena, CA set of Glee as they filmed scenes for the upcoming Xmas episode of the show … here are a couple photos from the Glee set:
The Glee Xmas album went on sale this past Tuesday perfectly timed with this week’s filming. It’s unclear if this year’s Xmas ep will be an over-the-top musicfest or if it will bring back that heart and soul of the show that made us all fall in love with Glee in the first place but one thing’s for sure, we won’t have to wait too long to find out. They may still be filming the ep this week but it will be ready to air in just a few weeks time. Xmas is getting here faster than I would like but in all honesty, I really am looking forward to the Glee Xmas episode this year … aren’t you?

Victoria Beckham Loses Her Cool While Parenting Her Kiddies
After our fun-filled day by the beach, Darion, his mom, David and I made our way to the AMC Theater at Century City to see Source Code. Now, I’ve had mixed feelings about the film from the very first time I saw the trailer a few months ago. On the one hand, the trailer didn’t make the film look all that good … on other hand, well, Jake Gyllenhaal is in it so …. you can see how I was torn. When I learned that Duncan Jones (David Bowie‘s son) directed it, I was sold. Overall, I liked Source Code very much … tho, for me, the ending left much to be desired.
I’ve heard some people say that Source Code reminds them of Inception and while I can see how some people can make that connection, I totally do not think the movies are all that similar. The storylines are totally different and there really isn’t all that much overlap thematically. In Source Code, we are are taken on a journey that tries to make us understand the concept of alternate realities and for the most part, I was on board with what the movie was trying to say … but the ending, I’m sorry, no I just didn’t buy it. I’ve watched my fair share of sci-fi programming that has given me a “working knowledge” of time travel, alternate realities, other dimensions etc. (and by “working knowledge” I mean, I’ve come to believe in a set of fictional rules that seem feasible to me if time travel, alternate realities, etc. actually existed). The ending of Source Code just did not work for me in the framework of my “working knowledge” of sci-fi temporal travel so … yeah, no, I didn’t like the ending. The rest of the movie, tho, I thought was inventive and entertaining. As much as I love Jakey poo, I felt he overacted a bit in some scenes but not enough to turn me off entirely. The support cast was fine but they were like background wallpaper … none of them really added anything to the story that stood out for me. I wish Source Code wasn’t a PG-13 film because the action felt a bit watered down. But, again, the inventiveness of the story, the twists and turns and overall plotline really entertained me. I don’t expect this film will do gangbusters at the box office but it’s worth seeing. If you miss it in theaters, you’ll be just fine seeing it on DVD or on cable.
Did any of y’all see Source Code this weekend? What did you think?

We cannot express enough how excited we are for this!
Warner Bros has announced that the premiere for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 will take place in both Leicester Square AND Trafalgar Square!
No films have EVER had red carpet premieres before at Trafalgar Square. So cool!
The cast will walk the red carpet at the July 7 premiere, and that will only be the BEGINNING of the awesomeness!
Here's what Warner Bros Pictures UK president and managing director Josh Berger had to say about it:
"We are delighted that our plans for the finale of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will take place in such a spectacular venue."
"We pride ourselves on the creativity of our premieres and the space within Trafalgar Square will lend itself to being a magical experience for both guests and fans."
Sounds fantastic! We'll be sad to see the end of the Harry Potter franchise until they all get re-released in director's cut 3D extended editions, but we're SO happy to hear that they'll be going out with a bang!

Such a powerful interview. All the more reason that this kind of behavior needs to be STOPPED.
Casey Heynes, the 15 year old boy who became the underdog's hero overnight after a video of him defending himself against a relentless bully went viral, sat down for an exclusive interview on A Current Affair tonight, and revealed, among other things, that he has been so tormented by his peers his entire that last year, he even considered killing himself.
Unbelievable. It's so frightening to think how commonplace this kind of behavior has become.
Please watch the full interview (above).
Casey is such a well-spoken, thoughtful young man, and we're so proud of him for making the right choice and standing up for himself. Hopefully, his story will serve as a wake-up call to adults, teachers, and peers and remind us all that it's our job to prevent this kind of behavior before it escalates into violence.
Casey didn't lose his life, but there are many other kids out there, alone, tormented, and confused who need the support that he is now getting.

Yay!! I am happy to report that David and I successfully made our way from NYC to Berlin, Germany without a single problem. Our business class Delta flight was as perfect as can be. We made it to our temporary Germany home without incident and already explored our new neighborhood for a bit. I’m not gonna lie, it’s really freakin’ cold here but we’ve been having so much fun we *almost* haven’t noticed ;)
We started out our German adventure with a champagne toast and away we went. The first thing we did after we settled into our place was check out the surrounding neighborhood. It is really cute. Full of fun shops, lots of cafes and young families everywhere:
I really love the graffiti all over the place … I think the Unicow has become my spirit animal. We are doing our best to fight off the jet lag so I think tonight is going to be an early night so we can get on our new sleep schedule. Thus far, no big plans … we’re planning to just take the city as it comes. Our Berlin adventure has officially begun! Tschüss!!

Anne Hathaway & James Franco Will Host The 83rd Annual Academy Awards
Much to my chagrin, I’ve been battling back the symptoms of a cold for the past few days and, for the most part, I’ve been able to keep the worse of them at bay … but yesterday was not a good day, let me tell you. I woke up with the worst body aches but, thankfully, free from a sore throat or any stomach ailments. I did my best to keep myself as medicated as possible with Dayquil by day and the magical nectar of the gods, Nyquil by night:
I’m still not feeling great today but I do not feel worse than I did yesterday so I’ll take that as progress. I’m hoping to be well enough to go out tonight … David and I are invited to some event at the Frank Lloyd Wright house here in LA so we were hoping to check that out. The rest of the week ahead is a bizzy one and then I’m flying back home to Detroit next week … so I really don’t have time for any flu shenanigans. It is almost the last day of November already, can you believe it? I hope your Monday is going well and that the December to come will be a fabulous one for us all :)

Stop the presses, y’all. Actors Anne Hathaway and James Franco have just been signed to host the 83rd annual Academy Awards show on February 27, 2011. It was rumored that the pair were being courted for the gig and they must’ve both said yes as quickly as they could cuz now it’s official … Anne and James will be hosting the Oscars!
James Franco and Anne Hathaway have been tabbed to co-host the Feb. 27 Academy Awards. Both have films currently in release: Franco stars in “127 Hours” and Hathaway co-stars with Jake Gyllenhaal in “Love and Other Drugs.” Neither have hosted before, but Hathaway participated in a song-and-dance routine when Hugh Jackman hosted in 2009. Move comes a year after the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences had Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin front the show. The Oscars will be telecast by ABC from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
While this will not be the first time that actors have co-hosted the Oscars I believe this is the first time such young actors have been tapped for the job. I LOVED Anne‘s song-and-dance bit with host Hugh Jackman during the 2009 Oscars (so much so that I would LOVE to have Hugh Jackman host the Oscars every year) so I think she will make a great host. Paired with Franco, well, it’ll be very interesting to see how it all plays out. The Academy Awards play much better to the older Hollywood set so I’m curious to see if the young duo will cater to the older, traditional Oscar watcher or if they’ll youngen up the awards show. I would’ve never guessed that either of these two would ever get to host the Academy Awards … let’s just hope they don’t eff it all up.
So … what do y’all think?

Despite the fact that I started to come down with symptoms of the flu yesterday, I did my best to battle them back all day long with meds, liquids and sleep so that I could make my way out to Club Nokia to see Ok Go in concert. David returned home from back East last night so I picked up up from the airport and we made our way straight to the venue to see the show:
If you can believe it, part of the concert was presented in 3D. I mean, yes the whole show was in actual 3D but Ok Go showed some video footage in 3D that could be seen properly with 3D glasses … so fun! After the jump, check out a few photos that I snapped at the show lat night …
I always forget how much I love Ok Go live in concert until I see them in concert and go DAMN! I LOVE OK GO IN CONCERT! I first saw the band live back in 2004 and have seen them a few times since over the years. They were really fantastic last night, lots of fun surprises, great video vignettes, a whole lotta confetti/lasers/lights and of course the best music ever. Because I wasn’t feeling too hot, I almost skipped the show … thankfully, I did not. I had a blast … David and I both did :D
Today, tho, I’m still not feeling so hot. I’m gonna try and rest up for much of the day so that David and I can double date with Emma and Josh later tonight to see Tangled. I hope your Sunday is a fun, symptom free day!
