Paris Hilton Gets Another Home Intruder

Back in August we learned that Paris Hilton, no stranger to the long arm of the law herself, awoke to the sounds of an intruder trying to break into her home in the early morning hours while wielding a knife. As you may recall, that man was first confronted by Paris‘s current boyfriend Cy Waits [...]

In celebration of the upcoming 25th anniversary of the classic 80′s films, a new DVD box set is being released of the Back to the Future Trilogy complete previously unseen footage from the first 5 weeks of production of the film. This previously unseen footage features the character we all know and love, Marty McFly, going back to 1955 by way of a time-traveling Delorean car — but what makes this particular footage special is that actor Eric Stoltz was originally cast as Marty McFly … behold:

Everyone knows the classic 1985 film “Back to the Future” featured a boyish Michael J. Fox in a winning performance as Marty McFly. But Fox was not the original McFly. In fact, Eric Stoltz was five weeks into shooting the famed McFly role when director and co-writer Robert Zemeckis made a drastic production decision — changing his lead actor. Details of the shocking Hollywood switch and never-before-seen footage of Stoltz as McFly are part of the extras package for the “Back to the Future 25th Anniversary Trilogy” to be released on Blu-Ray on Oct. 26. Zemeckis says the casting change was “this horrific decision; it was heartbreaking for everybody.” Executive producer Steven Spielberg said that Zemeckis consulted him before pursuing the casting change. “(Zemeckis) showed me the first five weeks of shooting that he had put together,” Spielberg said. ” And he said, ‘I just don’t think we’re getting the laughs I was hoping we would get.’ ” Spielberg said he realized his director “was absolutely correct.” The rest is pop-culture history.

I knew that Stoltz was cast as the original Marty McFly but I had never seen footage of him in the role. After the jump, check out video from the Back to the Future Trilogy box set that shows key scenes from Back to the Future with Eric Stolz as Marty McFly

Holy shizz!! This footage BLOWS MY MIND! I am such a big fan of the Back to the Future films … news of this remastered DVD box set is really exciting. Click HERE to preorder your copy now! Equally exciting is the news that AMC Theaters will show Back to the Future on the big screen again at the end of this month in celebration of the film’s 25th anniversary:

The film will only be shown on October 23 and 25, click HERE for more deets. Talk about your blast from the past … er, future ;)

‘The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ Premieres In Beverly Hills

Back in May we learned that actress-turned-pop star Hilary Duff would be releasing her debut novel this Fall … and, at long last, the time is at hand. Hilary‘s book Elixir, which she co-authored with Elise Allen, is available in stores now and last night she made an in-person appearance at a Border’s in NYC to meet her fans and sign a few books. MTV got their hands on a review copy of Elixir and offer their thoughts on what the book has in store:

Co-authored by Elise Allen, “Elixir” is a supernatural tale about destiny and soulmates. Think of it as “The Time Traveler’s Wife” starring a much-more-grounded version of Serena van der Woodsen. Perhaps drawing from her own experience in the limelight, Hilary’s protagonist is 17-year-old Clea Raymond, a reluctant tabloid staple thanks to her parents’ high-profile careers (mom is a politician, dad is a renowned surgeon). From a young age, Clea’s dad nurtures her interest in photography, and by her teens, Clea is fielding dream photojournalism assignments under the pseudonym Alissa Grande (no one wants to hire a celebutante only interested in vanity projects, after all).

HMMM. You can read the rest of the MTV review of Elixir HERE. IMHO, Hil D‘s book is prolly just as good as Nicole Richie‘s new book Priceless and DEFFO better than the new book “written” by Mike The Situation Sorrentino. Whether or not this book sounds interesting to you, I’m sure it’ll be of some interest to Hilary‘s young fans … and anything that gets kids to read books is A-OK with me :D

New 'Deathly Hallows' TV Spots Give Us Seven Potters, A Destroyed Horcrux And Much More!

Oh Warner Bros., you have outdone yourself yet again. Today we're greeted with eight new "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" TV spots that you've probably started to see on the small screen already. Surprisingly enough, there is new stuff to see from the film, even if it's only those little teases of [...]

Francis Ford Coppola's Vietnam War masterpiece "Apocalypse Now" hit Blu-ray today in both two-disc and three-disc special editions, giving fans their first-ever look at the original 1979 film and 2001's 49-minutes-longer director's cut, "Apocalypse Now Redux," in 1080p high definition. As if that weren't cool enough, both editions are packed to the hilt with "lost" scenes, never-before-seen interviews (including a Coppola-Roger Ebert Cannes Q&A) and illuminating making-of featurettes.

MTV has exclusively procured one such featurette, which shows a very young Laurence Fishburne reading for the part of Tyrone "Clean" Miller. Just how young was Fishburne? So young that he had to lie to get the gig. "He told us he was 17 or 18," said the casting director. "He was really 14... but we didn't find that out until we got to the Philippines." And yet the filmmakers kept Fishburne in the movie and the future Morpheus got his big break. After seeing just how badass Larry was, even at 14, we can't really blame them. See for yourself below...

Are you psyched for "Apocalypse Now" on Blu-ray? Tell us in the comments!

Last night David and I were kindly invited to the Chateau Marmont as guests of Ralph Lauren for the launch event for their new line of fragrances called The Big Pony Collection. Unlike other launch event parties, last night’s affair was a full on dinner party with folks from Ralph Lauren as well as the band One Republic:

The whole night was just a lot of fun. After cocktail hour, we were led up to the photobooth room where we filmed a short 7 second video that got turned into a flip book! So fun!! Then we were treated to a 4 course meal of deliciousness with each course introduced by a different member of the band:

For dinner, David and I were seated next to One Republic guitarist Zack Filkins who was so charming, so nice to talk to … ’twas a very fun night. After the jump, check out some photos from dinner as well as photos and video from One Republic‘s acoustic set last night …

The new promo campaign video for The Big Pony Collection was shot by the famed Bruce Weber and features the song Secrets by One Republic. Secrets was among the songs they performed last night:

Here is video of the band’s performance of Secrets:

And here is the Bruce Weber directed promo video for the Ralph Lauren Big Pony Fragrance Collection:

I’ve been a big fan of Ralph Lauren cologne for years … yes, I was among the young cads who wore Polo in junior high. More recently, tho, I’m a big fan of Polo Black cologne. There are 4 new fragrances in The Big Pony Collection so David and I are now set for life on smelling good :) Much love goes out to Robbie and his team for taking such great care of us last night. The intimate nature of last night’s even made for a very special evening … David and I had a lot of fun.

Tonight, my friend Josh and I are going to the El Rey Theater to see Liz Phair live in concert. She is among my fave singer/songwriters EVER so I’m really excited for the show. It’s the weekend, y’all … have a great one!!

Chopin's Preludes

Between 1843-1844, Chopin started working on a new masterwork, the berceuse. A berceuse, is a musical piece in 6/8, which has a lullaby characteristic. Chopin actually wanted to name this peice "Variantes", because most of the piece is base on variations upon a rocking-lullaby left hand chords, but for publicity reasons, the name was altered afterwards to "berceuse".

Voldemort character posterWith the November 19 release of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1" very quickly approaching, we Potterheads are torn between uncontrollable excitement and trepidation-bordering-on-sadness, due to the fact that this film brings us a little bit closer to the End. Of. It. All. However, conflicting emotions aside, we are happy to report that Warner Bros. has released seven (appropriate number, no?), count 'em seven, brand new character posters, available for you viewing pleasure at ComingSoon.net.

If you needed any more proof that David Yates, Daniel Radcliffe and Co. are absolutely going for broke with these final films, these new prints should do the trick. From the unflinching, determined gazes of our heroes (Harry, Ron, Hermione), to the cold, calculated expressions of the villains (Voldemort, Bellatrix, Greyback) -- Snape could fall into either category, don't you think? -- we have to give major kudos to the WB marketing team for fully embracing such a fantastically ominous, foreboding tone.

Accio posters!

'Social Network' Scribe Aaron Sorkin Responds To Critics

'It's not hard to understand how bright women could be appalled,' Sorkin responds to unsuspecting commenter's critique of Facebook flick.
By Eric Ditzian

Jesse Eisenberg in "The Social Network"
Photo: Sony Pictures

While "The Social Network" has been busy owning the box office for two weeks, a growing chorus of critics has been dinging the Oscar favorite for a purportedly misogynistic storyline in which women are portrayed as either promiscuous or irrelevant.

"[W]hat is the state of things if a film that keeps women on the outer circles of male innovation enjoys such critical acclaim; indeed, is heralded as the 'defining' story of our age?" wrote an author at the Daily Beast. "What are we to do with a great film that makes women look so awful?"

In a 657-word statement posted to a comedy writer's blog, Sorkin has now hit back at the criticism, responding directly to an unwitting blog commenter's post. The authenticity of those comments has been confirmed by TheWrap.com, which received word from Sorkin's rep that the "Social Network" writer had indeed penned the post.

"It's not hard to understand how bright women could be appalled by what they saw in the movie but you have to understand that that was the very specific world I was writing about," he wrote, adding, "More generally, I was writing about a very angry and deeply misogynistic group of people. These aren't the cuddly nerds we made movies about in the 80's. They're very angry that the cheerleader still wants to go out with the quarterback instead of the men (boys) who are running the universe right now. The women they surround themselves with aren't women who challenge them (and frankly, no woman who could challenge them would be interested in being anywhere near them.)."

Sorkin also responded to a few specific instances in the film with which critics have taken issue, from Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg's nasty blog comments about his ex-girlfriend to an idea he floated for a site that would have compared women's photos to those of farm animals. In each case, Sorkin said, he was working off verified source material, including Zuckerberg's actual blog. Additionally, Sorkin said he invented two strong female characters, albeit ones who play small roles in the film, that he believes act as counterexamples to the other, less flattering depictions of women.

"I wish I could go door to door and make this explanation/apology to any woman offended by the things you've pointed out but obviously that's unrealistic so I thought the least I could do was speak directly to you," the screenwriter wrote.

What do you think of Sorkin's portrayal of women in "The Social Network"? We want to hear your thoughts in the comments!

Check out everything we've got on "The Social Network."

Lady Gaga Challenged To $1 Million Sing-Off By L.A. Performer

'This contest gives people a chance to choose which they prefer: plastic or real,' singer Alisa Apps says.
By James Montgomery

Alisa Apps and Lady Gaga
Photo: Alisa Apps/ Reverb Nation

Alisa Apps is a Los Angeles-based singer who really, truly believes she is better than Lady Gaga ... and she's willing to go head-to-head with her to prove it.

On Tuesday, Apps challenged Gaga to a televised sing-off — which she proposed would take place at either New York's Madison Square Garden or London's O2 Arena — with the winner taking home a cash prize of $1 million. Each artist would perform a series of songs, with a panel of judges determining just who is the superior singer.

Challenging the reigning queen of pop music is a pretty ingenious way to garner headlines, but according to Apps, she's not stepping to Gaga to make a name for herself. She's doing it out of pity — and to prove a point.

"I feel sorry for Lady Gaga — she's just a plastic doll generated by the music money marketing machine," Apps said in an alliteration-heavy press release. "I stand for the voice of your heart. Be real with me. Come to my world and feel. I want to hear you and for you to hear me. This contest gives people a chance to choose which they prefer: plastic or real."

Oh snap. Apps — who, according to her MySpace page, is signed to a "major" label (but has, to the best of our knowledge, yet to release a major-label album) — does command a rather robust YouTube fanbase, with a video of her performing an original song called "How Do I Make Right?" racking up more than 1 million views. It also bears mention that, back in 2008, on her official YouTube channel, she took aim at diva Mariah Carey with a stunt she called "The Pop Star Challenge".

Apps did not respond to MTV News' request for comment on the Gaga challenge by press time; nor did a rep for Gaga, though, really, that didn't surprise us all that much.

Kanye West Fans Aren't Seeing Eye To Eye On 'See Me Now'

Fan reaction to the MC's Beyoncé-featuring single ranges from 'wack' to ' 'Ye is back!!!!'
By Mawuse Ziegbe

Kanye West
Photo: Dominique Charriau/WireImage

Fans agree that Kanye West is back, but they can't seem to agree on how they feel about that. The MC unveiled his latest single, "See Me Now," on Wednesday, and since then, Kanye followers have being going back and forth about whether the track is on fire or a fail.

The song, which features soulful contributions from Beyoncé and Charlie Wilson, is expected to appear on his upcoming untitled album, but, for many, the song takes things back to the MC's debut, College Dropout.

"Wow, it reminds me of College Dropout. Good to hear 'Ye laugh!" Ezekiel wrote on West's Kanye UniverseCity blog.

Bryan C.G. agreed: "This totally feel like your Dropout days. I love it."

Some fans, such as Prolifik, are all about 'Ye reviving the strings-laden throwback soul that kicked off his recording career. "Amazing! Classic flow, classic beats," the fan wrote. "I miss that old College Dropout steez! Welcome back, 'Ye."

" 'Ye is back!!!!" Tiffany wrote. "Hip Hop needs you so much!! You're brilliant."

While lots of online commenters are feeling the song, some of the MC's fans aren't seeing the appeal of "See Me Now." "This song is hot garbage," Luis Ariza declared on West's Facebook page.

The Facebook post announcing the song scored more than 580 "likes" at press time, however, some fans were not on the "See Me Now" bandwagon. "[It's the] first song from Kanye that I have not liked," Ariza wrote.

"This song needs major work," Real Talk proclaimed on West's blog. "I want harder beats and to be able to move my feet." Chad Jones also chimed in on Facebook: "Not feelin it. Huge Kanye fan and love the evolution in his music but the track is wack. Lyrics are nice but track is wack."

" 'Ye is the man, but this song is WEAK!!!" Wallace Leeth wrote.

Jay Yey Couture thought the G.O.O.D. Music lyricist was upstaged by fellow superstar Beyoncé and undermined by the instrumental. "Kanye will sell this fall, that's for sure. However Beyoncé made this song!!!!!" the fan typed. "Kanye had too much time to come with ... this [weak] beat ... he could have did wayyyyy better."

Yeezy might not have won over all his fans with the single, but he does have the opportunity to redeem himself on the awards-show stage: West will perform at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, which air live September 12 at 9 p.m. The appearance marks his VMA return after a notorious onstage dustup with Taylor Swift, but it appears the rapper is taking the incident in stride. West closes "See Me Now" with the ad lib, "Uncle Charlie, by the way. And I'mma let you finish, but I got Beyoncé on the track."

What do you think of "See Me Now"? Let us know in the comments below!

The 27th annual MTV Video Music Awards will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on September 12 at 9 p.m. ET. Fans can go to VMA.MTV.com (or text VMA to 97979 if they are Verizon subscribers) to vote for the winners from now through September 12.

Britney Spears Is 'Magical' On 'Glee,' Stars Say

'It's going to be Spearstacular,' says Heather Morris.
By Jocelyn Vena

Heather Morris and Britney Spears on the set of "Glee"
Photo: Facebook

Britney Spears' long-anticipated "Glee" episode debuts on Tuesday night (September 28). And the cast of the Fox hit promises that the show will live up to its high expectations.

"People that love this show or even like this show, they're going to love this episode," John Stamos teased in an interview posted online. "I don't feel like Britney stole my thunder ... maybe a little. Well, it's her show. [The episode is] called 'Britney/Brittany.' "

Stamos plays a key role in the episode. His character, Dr. Carl Howell, gives Brittany (Heather Morris) and Santana (Naya Rivera) the anesthesia that prompts their trippy ride through the singer's hit-filled catalog. Morris noted that Britney and Brittany will also throw down on the dance floor: "They're going to dance together," she said of her character and the pop star.

"When I was younger she was, like, my idol," Morris continued. " '[I'm a] Slave [4 U]' is, like, the best video ever. I am, like, literally an inch away from Britney Spears, who I used to watch on television and, like, learn dance moves to. ... It's going to be Spearstacular."

Like Morris, Rivera has warm memories of growing up a Spears fan. "I love Britney Spears. I mean, who doesn't? We all grew up with her," she said. "The first music purchase I ever made was ' ... Baby One More Time' on cassette. [It was like], Britney Spears is going to be in my mitts, what do I do? [And I was like], 'Hi Britney!' And then she was like, 'Hey!' She was awesome and beautiful. She was, like, magical."

Corey Monteith teased that his performance will be worth watching. "I am very excited about performing the 'Toxic' number. It's going to be very cool," he dished. "It's going to be an interpretation of the song you would not see coming."

The cast will also cover Spears classics like "Stronger" and "Me Against the Music."

Which song are you most looking forward to on the Britney episode? Let us know in the comments!

snooki wants four children and a husband

Sounds like another reality show!

Snooki has greater ambition than to just be a girl on the Jersey Shore. She wants to be a wife and a mother!

The reality star said:

“I wanna be married by 26, 27… get pregnant right away and have like, you know, four guido/guidette babies.

My ultimate guy would be hysterical, funny, makes me laugh, very family oriented, obviously tanned. He has to have muscles and just know how to have a good time.”

Oh boy!

And Snickers even has a plan to support all of her guido babies.

“I wanna be a clothing designer, hair designer," she said. "Try acting just to say that I tried it, and if I’m a success at it, good for me. If I’m not, I tried.”

Lots of luck!

Captain Jack Sparrow Shows Up To Lead A Primary School Mutiny

Meridian Primary School student Beatrice Delap penned a letter to Captain Jack Sparrow, star of the Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise, asking him to come to her UK school to help orchestrate a student mutiny against the teachers. Much to everyone’s surprise, including Beatrice‘s, Captain Jack Sparrow showed up at her school to satisfy [...]

We may not know what the title of the film is yet but at last we get to see the first photo of Angelina Jolie hard at work behind the camera as director on her new film. People magazine brings us our first look at Ange on the set of her new film, currently in production in Prague, and as you can see … she is a woman in control:

With the kids about to start school and Brad Pitt fresh off the plane from America, it’s time for Angelina Jolie to start directing. A new film, that is. Making her directorial debut, Jolie, 35, has teamed up with Oscar-winning producer Graham King (The Departed) on her yet untitled film, which began shooting a week ago. “Angelina is one of the most accomplished and dedicated film professionals I have had the pleasure to work with, so I jumped at the chance to produce her directorial debut alongside her,” King tells PEOPLE. “I am very happy to be a witness to a new film director in the making.” Jolie went local when she cast her film, recruiting European actors Zana Marjanovic (Cannes critics week grand prize winner for Snow), Goran Kostic (Taken, Children of Men) and Rade Serbedzija (Batman Begins, Mission Impossible II).

I understand the as-yet-untitled film will focus on a love story that will feature the Bosnian War as the backdrop. HMMM. It’s an interesting enough idea, we’ll have to see how the whole thing turns out in the end. As you may know, Madonna is currently directing her own film titled W.E. so it’ll be interesting — at least for me — to see how the 2 films turn out and determine which celeb is the better director. I am very curious to see more … let’s see how much more of Angelina Jolie: Director we get to see in the coming weeks and months.

Movies We Hope Never Get Made Into Broadway Musicals

Apparently today is the day for weird film-to-Broadway news. First up is "Sister Act," which EW.com says is primed to take its act to the Great White Way beginning April 20, 2011. This news is somewhat understandable, as the 1992 film starring Whoopi Goldberg was a box-office hit, and a musical adaptation is already enjoying [...]

Will SmithIf you were one of the millions who fell for the Will Smith rom-com "Hitch" back in 2005, we've got some good news for you: Following a bidding war with multiple networks Fox has landed the rights to adapt "Hitch" into an hour-long small-screen series, Deadline reports.

"Hitch" is just the latest film to get the television treatment. Last year, "10 Things I Hate About You" made its short-lived television debut, it was announced that "The Time Traveler's Wife" would be hitting the small screen soon (though it looks as though nothing ever came of that), and more recently "Goodfellas" was optioned following the success of "Boardwalk Empire."

So what does "Hitch" have that those other projects don't? A formulaic plot, for one, that could easily be turned into an hour-long sitcom lasting several seasons. For those of you who need a refresher, the film followed Smith as date doctor who makes all his own mistakes when falling for Eva Mendes. But there are plenty of other great films out there that could probably do just as well -- if not better -- than the four previously announced adaptations. After the jump, check out our picks for a few recent flicks we'd love to see on the boob tube.

"Easy A": This pitch is probably already in development somewhere after the success "Easy A" found in theaters. The film perfectly captured the insanity of the rumor mill in high school, and could easily translate into a high-school comedy with the tongue-in-cheek elements that have made "Glee" such a success. And if Emma Stone were to take time out of her busy schedule to star in it, that would just be icing on the cake.

"Inglourious Basterds": Come on, they got Martin Scorsese to work on "Boardwalk Empire" for HBO; why wouldn't Quentin Tarantino do the same thing for a small-screen adaptation of "Inglourious Basterds"? Yes, the film was supposed to be his masterpiece, but I'm sure both he and all the rest of you would love to spend a little bit more time exploring what the Basterds were up to before they teamed up with Bridget von Hammersmark.

"How To Train Your Dragon": When was the last time there was a really good computer-animated television series? And no, I wouldn't call Nickelodeon's "Madagascar" show "really good." "How To Train Your Dragon" has been one of the most pleasant surprises of 2010, and the adorable dragons and awesome leading man (voiced by Jay Baruchel) were just two of many reasons. The series could follow the adventures of the Viking clan after they befriend the dragons. With 3-D televisions hoping to be on the rise, this could be exactly what children's television needs.

Will you watch a "Hitch" television show? What do you think of some of our suggestions?

Usher - Raymond Vs Raymond Album Review

Ok, so let's get this cleared up straight off the bat... This ain't no Confessions. Usher has returned to reclaim his crown of old. You know the one; the cashed up, booty tappin', colla poppin prince of RnB. However, my confusion lies in the fact that he has regressed to try and be what he was in his Confessions era rather than move forward and show his fans and the music industry his growth. He has settled to stay in the past as a prince rather than embracing his potential to become a king. But I digress...

Alicia Keys has proven to be as selfless in real life as she is in song.

The singer held her 8th annual Keep a Child Alive Black Ball event in New York on Thursday night. The fundraiser brought out Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Usher, Jay Sean, Janelle Monae, Jennifer Hudson, Whitney Houston and more.

Jay-Z and Keys' husband, Swizz Beatz, performed "On to the Next One," and Jay later performed "Empire State of Mind." Monae also hit the stage, as did Keys and Sade, who performed a duet, "Love Is Stronger Than Pride."

"It's my heart and soul," Keys told MTV News about the organization she co-founded. "Since the beginning, we've been very driven to do incredible work. I'm proud to show what four to five women who are very dedicated can do."

The organization benefits children and families who have been affected by AIDS but can't afford to purchase medicine; the event reportedly helped raise $2.4 million.

This year, Keep a Child Alive introduced the "Buy Life" T-shirt. The shirt features a large barcode on the garment; donors can buy the shirt and scan the code with their smart phones to make a donation to the charity. Every time the code is scanned by a phone, a donation goes through. Ryan Seacrest, Kim Kardashian and Katie Holmes are among the celebrity spokespeople appearing in ads for the shirt.

"It's like a dream to me to be among these people singing and performing, and opening people's eyes to what Keep a Child Alive can do," Keys said.

Rhys InfansFROM MTV SPLASH PAGE: After rumors that ranged from Michael Fassbender to Philip Seymour Hoffman, it appears that the villain in director Marc Webb's "Spider-Man" reboot has finally been found in the form of Rhys Ifans.

Deadline reports the breaking news that Sony Pictures Entertainment has offered the lead villain role in "Spider-Man" to the Welsh actor. If he accepts the offer, Ifans will join a growing cast list that already includes Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and Emma Stone as his ill-fated first love Gwen Stacy.

It's currently unknown which villain Ifans would play in the "Spider-Man" reboot. Based on his body type and the characters he's known to play, not to mention the involvement of Stone as Gwen Stacy, it's not far-fetched to imagine that Ifans is playing Green Goblin. But the character was famously played by Willem Dafoe in the original Sam Raimi-directed "Spider-Man" film, and it's possible that Sony will want to move away from that series as they reboot the franchise. Read more...

Is Rhys Infans the right man to play the villain in the "Spider-Man" reboot? And which villain would you like to see him play? Let us know in the comments!

Oftentimes, it is very difficult to perform, especially if your orientation have been more on the rock or other styles of music, and have never tried jazz. They just released a song named Thy Unveiling and the lyrics are as follows:

All secrets will now be told

No more hidden messages

…Truth is we follow GOD!!!

We’ve always been behind him

The carnival is GOD

And may all juggalos find him

We’re not sorry if we tricked you.

They really did try to deceive their fans, but supposedly they did it for a good cause.

The Nation magazine is reporting that former CNN anchor Lou Dobbs relied on illegal immigrants to help maintain his homes even as he spoke out on the air against them.

The Nation said the article, published online Thursday, is based on a yearlong investigation including interviews with five immigrants who worked without papers on Dobbs’ properties in New Jersey and Florida.

Dobbs said in an interview Thursday the article is “a political assault” based on what he called “the lie” that he has hired illegal immigrants. He says: “I have never, do not now, and never will.”

Dobbs was host of a weeknight news and commentary hour on CNN until abruptly resigning last November after 29 years with the network. He continues to host a syndicated radio show.

Last week we saw a few photos from the NYC set of Rihanna‘s latest music video What’s My Name? as well as a promo photo from the already finished music video for her single Only Girl (In The World). Today we get to check out a few more promo photo/screencaps from the Only Girl video which has yet to be officially released:

I am really not feelin’ the big red hair. I know it’s the look that Rihanna is really trying to make happen for this new album but it really looks bad. I didn’t hate it so much when I first saw it but … it’s influence has grown on me over the past few weeks … and not in a good way. After the jump, check out a few more photos from Rihanna‘s Only Girl (In The World) music video …

Naturally, these images will take on new life in motion and set to music so I’ll reserve judgment on the vid until it gets released. I think the tone of the album might clue us in as to Rihanna‘s styling choices lately. The album might be a fun, upbeat collection of songs … which might explain Ri Ri‘s attempt at a fun, upbeat look. Still … I’m not loving the all-too-redness of Rihanna‘s look these days. We’ll have to wait and see how it all plays itself out. Is there anyone out there who loves this look at all?
